Oatmeal with Berries and Almond Milk

Ingredients

Scale

Serves 2

  • 1 cup rolled oats (I use Bob’s Red Mill Gluten-Free Rolled Oats)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • pinch of sea salt
  • homemade almond milk
  • maple syrup
  • 1 handful of raw hazelnuts, roughly chopped
  • Hemp seeds
  • Chia seeds
  • Berries of choice

Instructions

Place the water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Add the rolled oats, cinnamon, a pinch of sea salt, and stir to combine. Reduce the heat to low and cook until the oatmeal has thickened, about 8-10 minutes. Remember to stir occasionally so that the oats don’t stick to the bottom of the pan or becoming clumpy. Once the oatmeal has finished cooking, divide it into two individual serving bowls. Top the oatmeal with almond milk, a drizzle of maple syrup, 1/2 the hazelnuts, a sprinkle of hemp and chia seeds, and your berries of choice.
