Gluten Free Power Oatmeal

Serves 2-4

  • 1/2 C gluten-free rolled oats
  • 1/2 C buckwheat groats
  • 1 1/2 C almond milk
  • 1 1/2 C water
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • Pinch sea salt
  • 2 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • Optional: almond milk, fresh or frozen fruit, hemp seeds, chopped nuts, maple syrup, honey

Instructions

Place the rolled oats, buckwheat groats, almond milk, water, vanilla powder, cardamom, cinnamon, and sea salt in a small pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes or until oats and groats are tender.

Add the ground flaxseeds, hemp seeds, and sesame seeds. Stir to fully combine. Top with your favorites.

I love adding more almond milk, chopped nuts, maple syrup or honey, hemp seeds, berries, or fruit of your choice (fresh or frozen work great). Enjoy!
