Cabbage Slaw with Yogurt Apple Cider Vinegar Dressing


  • 1 small head of green cabbage, cored and thinly shredded
  • 3 small carrots, peeled and grated
  • 1/2 small red onion, peeled, quartered, and thinly sliced
  • 4 scallions, cut into thin rounds
  • 3/4 C plain whole milk yogurt
  • 2 tbsp cane sugar or coconut sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp of celery seed
  • 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • Sea salt
  • Freshly cracked black pepper


Place the cabbage, carrots, red onion, and scallions in a large mixing bowl. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the yogurt, sugar, celery seed, and apple cider vinegar. Add sea salt and black pepper to taste. Toss the slaw mixture with the dressing. Taste and season with more sea salt and black pepper if necessary.
